Over the years MGCA has spent many hours within this Reserve delivering environmental outcomes through funding programs like the Aboriginal Parks Partnership Funding Program and the Environmental Trust's "Protecting our Places" Funding MGCA has built up a partnership with the National Parks And Wildlife Service.

Fingal Spit

Our partnership with Tweed Byron Local Aboriginal Land Council has seen us help deliver a number of project together from the Aboriginal Lands Clean up Program (NSW Environmental Trust and Environment Protection Aurtority funding). to the Protecting our Places program (Environmental Trust funding). Fingal is a special place and through the over use and illegal uses such as dumping and access it is a constant battle to bring the bush back.

Bitou Bush Control

MGCA has spent many years on the Byron and Tweed coast controlling Bitou Bush. Partnering with Byron Shire Council, Tweed Shire Council and Bushland Restoration Services. It is one of the weed plants that MGCA would love to see gone from this area.

Big Scrub Sites

MGCA's Bush Regeneration Team currently works at different Big Scrub Sites over the North Coast of New South Wales thanks to the Rainforest Trust Australia. Over the years MGCA and the Rainforest Trust Australia has forged a great partnership which can hopefully extend into other Aboriginal communities of the North Coast in the future.
